Since I have not posted here in years, I thought that I would do so today.  I wanted to see if this thing still worked and it looks like it does.  Although global warming is real, there are still many people who are convinced that it is not, or that there isn't a consensus on the issue when there is.  The propaganda campaign by the Koch Brothers' numerous "Think" tanks has been very successful in this issue.  Of course, why would oil barons want people to think that we needed to put less carbon into the atmosphere?  Anthropogenic (man-made) climate change is a real thing.  Yes, trying to mitigate the effects will require governments around the world to join in a global effort in ways they have never done before.  Feel free to comment and link scientific studies, talk about how wonderful the Keystone XL pipeline is and whatever else you feel like saying.

Inaugural post-why should you care?

The truth is that nobody should care except myself. My goal is to put some of my thoughts down and see what happens. I can compose music but have an abnormal fear of writing prose, a fear that I hope to overcome with this blog. It's not like I need another infinite time sink in my life, but time will tell.
